Are you a caring, energetic, and imaginative individual passionate about early childhood education? We’re looking for an Early Years Educator to join our dedicated team and make a lasting impact on the lives of our young children – reminding you of why you chose Childcare. We are hiring in both Landbeach (outside Cambridge) and Wilburton (outside Ely)

What we’re looking for

• Greet children each day with a warm, kind smile that makes them feel loved and welcomed.
• Be always ready to build a fully functional space rocket from a kitchen roll tube, 2 elastic bands, and a handful of pipe cleaners.
• Share songs, stories, and creative activities that everyone will enjoy (being in tune is optional, but knowing Frozen lyrics is a plus!).
• Navigate a classroom that sometimes looks like a hurricane just hit—and do it with calm and grace.
• Multitask like a pro, reading stories, answering questions, and explaining how the world works (sometimes all at once).
• Encourage independence, even if it means waiting patiently while a child learns to zip up their jacket.
• Gently mediate the children’s disagreements over who has more pesto pasta and celebrate milestones, big or small—from mastering the alphabet to learning to share.
• Ideally be able to correctly and immediately name and draw all species of dinosaur from Aardonyx to Zuniceratops.
• Flex those leg muscles—getting up and down from tiny chairs while keeping our space safe and engaging.

The preschool at Wilburton is growing and we are delighted to say that we are looking for a new teacher to work with the team, making a lasting impact on the lives of our young children—helping you rediscover the joy and purpose that led you to choose teaching.

Working Hours

9:30 am – 2:30 pm, 3 or 4 days a week (to include Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays). Plus, 1.5 or 2 additional hours paid for work-from-home planning.

About the Role

As part of our dedicated Preschool team, you’ll be working closely alongside two other experienced teachers, leading the morning session and planning activities that reflect the ethos and values of our setting. You’ll follow our thoughtfully designed curriculum, ensuring each day is engaging and enriching for the children.

Our outdoor environment is at the heart of what we do, so a passion for outdoor learning is essential. You’ll have the opportunity to create hands-on, nature-based learning experiences that inspire curiosity and growth.

Applicants for this position will need to have qualified teacher status in the form of a PGCE, QTS, EYTS or similar.

The position is across the 51 weeks a year that the setting is open.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging, creative sessions that align with our curriculum and values.
• Build strong relationships with parents and work in partnership with other external agencies.
• Participate in meetings with parents, sharing progress and discussing individual needs.
• Collaborate with local schools to ensure smooth transitions for the children.

SIGNING BONUS! Beach Babies nursery in Landbeach is looking for a full-time nursery cook.

• 1 large handful of cookery skills
• 1 tablespoon of love for children
• 1lb of organisation
• 1 cup of patience
• A dash of calmness under pressure
• Buckets of enthusiasm

We are looking for a full-time nursery chef to mix all the above together to create delicious and nutritious meals and snacks for highly appreciative, slightly messy diners.

We are looking for someone to work 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday at our extremely friendly Landbeach nursery. We can be flexible with these times, however, so please get in touch to discuss options.

Full training will be given, but please only apply if you love cooking and have experience in cooking for others.
