Are you a caring, energetic, and imaginative individual passionate about early childhood education? We’re looking for an Early Years Educator / Nursery Practitioner to join our dedicated team and make a lasting impact on the lives of our young children – reminding you of why you chose childcare. Wilburton is situated just outside of Ely.

What You’ll Do

• Greet children each day with a warm, kind smile that makes them feel loved and welcomed
• Be always ready to build a fully functional space rocket from a kitchen roll tube, 2 elastic bands, and a handful of pipe cleaners
• Share songs, stories, and creative activities (being in tune is optional, but knowing Frozen lyrics is a plus!)
• Navigate a classroom that sometimes looks like a hurricane just hit—and do it with calm and grace
• Multitask like a pro: reading stories, answering questions, and explaining how the world works (sometimes all at once)
• Encourage independence, even if it means waiting patiently while a child learns to zip up their jacket
• Gently mediate the children’s disagreements over who has more pesto pasta and celebrate milestones—big or small—from mastering the alphabet to learning to share
• Ideally be able to name and draw all species of dinosaur from Aardonyx to Zuniceratops
• Flex those leg muscles—getting up and down from tiny chairs while keeping our space safe and engaging

What We’re Looking For

• Ideally a Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent)—but your passion is more important to us
• Enthusiasm for working with young children and creating a nurturing, supportive environment
• Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues
• Patience, creativity, and a good sense of humour (you’ll need it for all those “why” questions!)

Do you love cooking healthy and delicious meals? Beach Babies Nursery in Wilburton is looking for a part-time or full-time Nursery Chef / Nursery Cook.

• 1 large handful of cookery skills
• 1 tablespoon of love for children
• 1lb of organisation
• 1 cup of patience
• A dash of calmness under pressure
• Buckets of enthusiasm

We are looking for a part-time Kitchen Assistant / Cook to combine all the above to create delicious and nutritious meals and snacks for highly appreciative, slightly messy diners.

You’ll be working in our extremely friendly Wilburton nursery, with hours of 1pm – 6pm Monday to Thursday and all day Friday. We’re open to flexibility, so please get in touch to discuss what might work for you.

Full training will be provided, but please only apply if you love cooking and have experience in cooking for others.

We are looking for a part-time Pre-School Teacher to join our friendly, enthusiastic and hard-working team at the Wilburton Preschool, where we’re passionate about making a lasting impact on young children’s lives—and helping you rediscover the joy and purpose that led you to choose teaching.

Working Hours

• 9:30 am – 2:30 pm, 4 days a week
• Plus, 2 additional hours paid for work-from-home planning
• Year-round position (51 weeks per year)

What you’ll do

• Plan and lead engaging, creative sessions that align with our curriculum and values
• Build strong relationships with parents and work in partnership with other external agencies
• Participate in meetings with parents, sharing progress and discussing individual needs
• Collaborate with local schools to ensure smooth transitions for the children
• Create outdoor learning experiences that inspire curiosity and a love for nature
